Superior’s Short-Term Rental Inspection is a safety inspection that covers the requirements set forth by the city where your rental is located in order to obtain a Short-Term Rental Permit.
The following are items that are typically inspected:
EXTERIOR
- Street number visibly displayed
- Railings on stairs in place and secure
- Windows/Doors operable & weather tight
- Lighting at entrance + Lighting shielded from the beach
- Emergency lights operable (condos)
- Exit signs in place and operable (condos)
- Electrical outlets covered and GFCI
- Balcony railings
INTERIOR
- Emergency lights present and operable at primary entrance
- GFIs in Kitchen and Bathrooms
- Smoke detectors in each sleeping room & operable
- Windows in each sleeping room & operable
- Water heater emergency valve
- Breaker panel
- Stair railings
- Emergency contact information displayed
- Local Business Tax Recipt (LBTR) displayed
- Fire extinguisher
